This Vintage 1984 1st Year Edition Cabbage Patch Kids boy doll (made in the Jesmar Factory, in Spain) has brown yarn loop hair with cute dimples and comes in vintage doll and CPK clothes. Both doll and outfit are in good vintage condition. Please view photos to see more details and ask any questions you may have. Items may have some wear from age and play (stains, smudges, discoloration, etc.) This CPK doll is a very special and HTF doll! It was one of the dolls made in the first year that they were produced in the Jesmar factory (read Jesmar information below). It is perfect for anyone looking to add a very rare and unique aspect to their CPK doll collection. About Jesmar Cabbage Patch Kids Dolls…Jesmar was a factory located in Spain that manufactured these special CPK dolls for the Western European market, starting in April 1984. These dolls are generally highly coveted by collectors. To identify these dolls, the back of their neck should say “Made in Spain”. You will also see this on their body tag. What year the doll was made is determined by the signature on their bottom. Jesmar dolls made in early 1984, the signature would be black with no date. In late 1984 the signatures are brownish/black with 84 and in 1985 the signatures were blue with 85. These dolls are also taller than Coleco dolls, as they are 17 to 18 inches. They have very firm bodies and limb stitching is not as tight as the Coleco dolls. In the spring of 1985 many foreign factories lost their licenses, which included Jesmar. Because Jesmar only produced these dolls for 2 years, they are very hard to find.
