ROOKWOOD ART POTTERY, VASE, 6″, 1947, SHAPE # 6363, SHINY LT GREEN GLAZE . I have quite a few books on Rookwood Pottery but was unable to find this exact color, one that was close was Celadon Green but it is really hard as their photography doesn’t always portray exactly either. The green color here is very light with a slight light yellow cast to it, almost a pale chartruese with the color deepening around the incised decoration. It is hard for me to tell if the incised design was already in the mold or extra clay was added and incised. I suspect it is in the mold because of the date of the vase and decorators were not as active then but it is hard to tell the difference. Because almost everything I sell is antique, vintage, & a collectible and has been enjoyed by previous owners, there will most likely be some evidence of this, especially antique/vintage buttons, jewelry, glassware and pottery,lace & clothes, so I make every effort in my description to let my buyers know of any wear or damage that I can detect even though it does not detract from the beauty of the object. Small signs of wear, a teeny, tiny nick here and there, things that are generally accepted in previously owned items but are hard to see even upon close examination would not be reasons, in my opinion, to return something, but I will be more than happy to work with someone if this should become an issue. I will be happy to answer any questions or send more pictures of something you are interested in but have concerns about so that you are not disappointed when you receive it. Returns are accepted if the item was truly misrepresented in the listing. It is very important to me that my customers are happy with their purchases. If there is an issue, please let me know within 3 days or I will assume you are satisfied with your item. An item needs to be returned within a 14 day period. Buyer pays return postage.
