eBay AS IS!!!!!! It might be actual gold- I have not had the gold tested (for fear of damaging the mechanics of the watch) so I don’t know if that gold is actual real gold, but it is a REAL Ulysse Nardin, and selling for very cheap for what the watch is otherwise. THIS WATCH WAS STILL WORKING AND TICKING AND KEEPING TIME UNTIL THE CROWN BROKE. I AM NOT ABLE TO WIND IT NOW, FOR IT TO KEEP TIME. See video. I HAD ORIGINALLY LISTED THE WATCH PRIOR TO REASSEMBLING IT- when it still worked and ticked. See video. IT STILL NEEDS FURTHER REPAIR OF THE CROWN – as of now, you can only wind it (VERY CAREFULLY) with a watch tool or very slim needle nose pliers, but I have tried this, and without success. The back is almost all gold- looks almost like rose gold. You can see the “jewels” there of the “17 jewels” (rubies). And that patina is real. It is damaged upon my own doing: I bought it some time ago, (undamaged) at a local auction house (Rago, Wright, or one of those, I believe- I do not remember). I collect rare and vintage watches, although I do not sell them or re-sell them, and as far as the “1950’s” time period estimate, this is MY estimate based on my memory of ownership. This is not 100% confirmed. Please be aware of that. To my knowledge it is a MECHANICAL watch (vs “automatic”) because I would set it, manually, 10 minutes fast every day, and in that 24 hours, its escapement maintained IMPECCABLE precision- even sometimes beyond 24 hours if I would forget to wind it. I am selling this one, obviously due to the damage: due to a mid-frustration fit, during a move (residential move) I “tossed” it aside, on my bed, carelessly, while setting it (it is fairly easy to maintain / set / even FIX a mechanical watch if you have the right equipment and enjoy doing so), and so in my haste and impatience I “tossed” the watch onto my bed a bit harshly, and it became disassembled… luckily not much damage except the CROWN broke off, so it’s a bit difficult to set without pliers. This is a VERY VERY delicate watch, and the hands also tend to become loose if not treated gently (for example it should NOT be tossed, dropped etc etc). ADDITIONALLY: Miraculously in the damage incident, no damage was done to the BACK (the gold part) at all and all the gears are intact and the face remained intact (the scratches were there from a very previous apparent sloppy repair/maintenance), and the patina, nonetheless very uniquely evenly aged, was already there too… very rare to have it evenly aged like that… big bonus- look that up. The numerals are fully intact and gold. The band and case have long been sold- as I could not myself put aside time to restore the watch… so I am selling the face as it is: for PARTS. AS IS. ALSO – the damaged CROWN… that’s where the real professional repair comes in- and I do not have the patience for it at the moment. In the pictures I demonstrate that the watch actually does still work, by indicating how the BALANCE WHEEL tick-tocks, and disappears behind the other gears when it ticks…. Look at the 4th 5th and 6th pictures, and see where the balance wheel is closer to the ruby, and then positioned far away from it after. It is not worn, and it is sitting at the moment, and these watches must be manually wound, in order to keep ticking PLEASE BE AWARE OF THAT. BE AWARE THAT YOU ARE BUYING IT IN PARTS- DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, UNWOUND AND IN NEED PROFESSIONAL REPAIR. Also I do not know where I placed any of the documentation on this item, because I have moved and I don’t remember where the paperwork was packaged so this face is being sold as is… consult with your local watch expert or the Nardin family dynasty or whatever- because it is being sold AS IS AS STATED IN “FOR PARTS” condition, and known to be 100% authentic, yet damaged… Do not bid, unless you are 100% clear on these terms… It measures exactly an inch and 1/4th and will be mailed in the case as shown. ALL PIECES SHOWN WILL BE INCLUDED AND BOXED WITHIN THAT VERY BOX YOU SEE THERE. You used to be able to add videos, I don’t think from the app, it gives you the option. I will try on a desktop
