Offering some of the highest quality craftsmanship we’ve ever come across, Mayones is building some absolutely killer guitars that have players of all genres taking note, not just metalheads. The neck on this 7-string is super comfortable and will require little-to-no adjustment if you’re a 6-string slinger. The low-B is tight, punchy, and really brings the thunder. It doesn’t have any of that wobbliness that you can sometimes encounter. Flying up and down the neck is a breeze and whether you’re playing chords, ripping lead-lines, or using both hands to do some fancy fretboard tapping, you’ll find this guitar to be incredibly expressive and the notes to just jump right out with minimal effort. This « 4Ever » variant of the Duvell comes with the innovative EverTune bridge. This extraordinary bridge system keeps the guitar in tune no matter the circumstances or environment, which is a fantastic addition to this guitar. You can bang out those crushing riffs and shred to your heart’s content without worrying about your tuning crapping out on you! The Fishman Fluence pickups chosen for this build are a great addition. Since these were first introduced, they’ve really been redefining what most people think a pickup is capable of. The Modern set has ceramic magnets in the bridge pickup, which are a bit more aggressive sounding, and alnico magnets in the neck pickup for a bit of a warmer tone. In Voice 1, the pickups have a modern active high output vibe to them. They’re crisp, searing, and cutting. In Voice 2, they sound more like passive pickups. Still modern-sounding and not shy with some saturation or distortion, this voicing gives the guitar a distinctively « organic » characteristic. A simple master volume control makes this a no-fuss shredder’s axe that always sounds great and won’t leave you with any hand fatigue after long sessions or shows.
