ANOTHER SUPERB WATCH/CLOCK FIND FROM TIMEISPRECIOUS!! I AM A 100% POSITIVE EBAY SELLER-BID WITH CONFIDENCE!! A BEAUTIFUL C1890-1900 RARE OMEGA VASTLY OVERSIZED 8 DAY ‘GOLIATH’ POCKET IN BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL CONDITION AND WORKING ORDER. DEFINITELY A WATCH FOR THE COLLECTOR. FRESH FROM AN ESTATE SALE AND NEVER OFFERED ON EBAY BEFORE! CASE: This is a stunning, and beautiful three piece ‘Savonette’ snap back watch case. The inside back of the case is numbered ‘1275865’. There are no other markings on the case apart from the word ‘Swiss’ on the case and movement. The outside of the case is in good original condition for its advanced years showing some light dulling of the finish with light wear marks, nicks and a few light dings as would be expected for a watch of this age. The case back and dust cover snap to very well and the inside of the watch case is beautiful white metal showing a bright metal finish. The watch measures 6.5.cms (65mm) In diameter, excluding the crown. This is a stunning and beautiful QUALITY original 8 day pocket watch case. DIAL: This is an absolutely lovely and most importantly totally original dial. The dial is unsigned. It has thick black painted Arabic and numerals bordered by a black minute track which is in good original condition. The dial shows NO hairlines that I can see and just a mark on the outside edge just before 12 o’clock. Please use the pictures to judge for yourself as they form part of the description. The beautiful steel ‘Cathedral style’ wire work hour and second hands look to be original and are in excellent condition. There are remnants of old lume on the numerals and hands This is a really lovely dial in excellent original condition. The crystal is made from plastic and is a replacement to the watch showing light wear but is in good all round order. MOVEMENT: This is a beautiful and absolutely genuine unsigned (which was usual) movement apart from the wording ‘Brevet’ and a number. The movement is also marked with an ‘M’ It has a beautiful finish and really does show its roots in quality Swiss manufacture. The watch winds and sets smoothly. It is crown set. It is in full working condition and has nice quiet operation and has just had a general light oiling and light clean. It has a nice compensated balance with a blue steel overcoiled hairspring. A FULL service would be recommended for optimum performance, continued operation and time keeping At the minute the watch is losing approximately 30 seconds a day. The metal original crown looks genuine to the watch and is in excellent condition showing slight normal wear. THIS IS A FABULOUS AND RARE GOLIATH POCKET WATCH / CLOCK COMBINATION TIMEPIECE.
