DETAILS This antique steer horn spoon comes from an old New York collection and dates to the colonial/Revolutionary War Era.The hand-carved, 8″ horn spoon has finger grooves on the edges of the handle–much the way fine metal spoons of the era would have had.The steer horn is translucent, as you can see in the photo with a strong backlight. See photo # 5.The spoon shows some antique use on the bottom of the spoon, which based upon the wear pattern, appears likely to have been used by a right-handed person. No repairs or restorations! Fits nicely in collections of US colonial or Revolutionary War items. Please examine the attached photos carefully as they are part of the description and bid accordingly.
