Back in the 1980s or so a lot of toys and video games were made in Japan, but beginning with the 90s, most production shifted to other East Pacific nations. In fact, most of Takara Tomy A.R.T.S.’ stuff is produced in Vietnam these days. The one exception we can think of off the top of our heads is that some Gundam Plamo (Plastic Models) are still made in Japan. Outside of those, you’d be hard-pressed to find anything anime-y that’s mass-manufactured, that’s still made in Japan. So, just because you see Made in China on something, doesn’t mean it’s a non-genuine product. – As we publish in all anime-related auctions we post; we ARE (were) collectors. Nearly everything, anime-wise, that we have has come from somewhere in Japan. We’d made online purchases from Hobby Search, AmiAmi, Hobbylink Japan, Mandarake, cdJapan, etc, as early as 2006, and Yahoo Japan Auctions starting in 2009. Q: Does X come with ? A: We try our best to be completely transparent about what we offer and the condition in which it is being sold.
