This is an awesomely rebuilt Mantua 2-6-6-2, Cherry Valley Logging Co., articulated logger steam locomotive, ho scale. The tender was missing from the Great Northern locomotive 1902 and I matched it with a vintage Cherry Valley logging Co tender. So I custom installed a soundtraxx DBX-9000 tender to locomotive plug, I installed a TCS #1024, T4X, ,,4 Function DCC Decoder, decoder is set to cab #3. This decoder operates on DCC and DC. I installed a lighted tender doghouse hooked to green wire F1 control. I also installed rear light on tender. Tender has custom installed Athearn Genesis 100 ton trucks with electric pickup, all 8 tender wheels have electric pickup going to the decoder. The locomotive chassis is electrically isolated from tender. Kadee couplings installed. Has dog-bone drive shafts. The walk plank between locomotive and tender sets on the plug and not all the way flat(see pictures). Has weights added to cab for better pulling and smoother operation. This locomotive has been custom rebuilt/refurbished, cleaned, inspected, tightened up, lubed and thoroughly tested. See pictures for appearance. See video for performance.
