I specialise in these ecu kits for MX5 cars 1989 – 2005.This set from my collection is hard to find from a 2001 – 2003 MK2.5 1.6 car.In addition to the parts shown you will have access to my knowledge of these parts are what is required to repair your vehicle and assurance that these parts will cure any ecu/immobiliser fault with a car fitted with this specific B6MV or B6MVA ecu. The UK spec MK2.5 MX5 1.6 & 1.8 is fitted with a TRW 36AS immobiliser unit. Unfortunately these immobilisers are failing in large numbers. This usually begins with a random non start but gets progressively worse. It has become obvious that these parts are failing due to age and nothing that can really be done. As the only reasonable solution is to buy another set of parts with the potentially failing TRW 36AS immobiliser, I will take some responsibility for parts purchased from me. I have a test harness to check these parts and be reasonably assured that there is no imminent failure. I will also guarantee my parts against immobiliser failure for three months.
