Looking for an eccentric, vibrant mirror to really pull a room together? Well, here it is! This one of a kind piece was custom created by The Uttermost Company, a luxury home decor company, on October 5, 2017. It is a large, heavy round mirror with a black metal frame. But obviously, what you’re really interested in is it’s unique blue color pop! This color is imbedded within the mirror glass itself, it is NOT painted on the surface. Dark charcoal grays mix with different blue tones, including a navy, royal blue and a lighter, almost sky blue. It resembles a moon on a cloudy evening, and gets more beautiful the closer you look! We have tried our best to capture its moody blue beauty, but this has proven difficult. Some photos we took with our camera flash on, which seems to have captured the colors most accurately. The other darker photos show what it may look like in a lower light area of your home, or in the evening after the sun sets. Intrigued by this mirror, we contacted The Uttermost Company to see if they could provide us with any additional information about it’s story. Unfortunately they didn’t know it’s detailed history, but did tell us that it was a custom created piece based on its PO# and manufacture date. So more than likely, this is a truly one of a kind statement piece! While The Uttermost Company only made one of these mirrors, we have been able to find a few example of mirrors that are comparable. These mirrors are usually described as “color wash” or “acid wash”. Many of them, like the Anthropologie branded one, are attempting to recreate the look of a worn, antiqued or silvered mirror. This mirror, however, stands out amongst these other examples as the only one with vibrant and bright blue tones, making it a distinctively modern and perfect for a place in your home that needs a pop of color! This mirror is in excellent condition, other than bits of some sticker/glue residue on the back (see photos). It appears to be glued into its frame. The frame itself is made of black metal. This mirror can NOT be hung with wire, as it is too heavy. There is a sticker on the back detailing the proper way to hang it (see photo). It only comes with the hardware attached to the frame. You must provide additional items like J-hooks and nails.
