The Retrode 2 (sold separately) is a computer device that can, out of the box, read retro Super Nintendo/Super Famicom and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive video game cartridges, whether those cartridges are American (NTSC), Japanese (NTSC) or Australian/UK (PAL) in origin. The Retrode can be connected to any computer that has a standard USB port (e.g. desktop computer, laptop/notebook computer, mobile/cell phone, etc). The Retrode itself also comes with 4 controller ports: 2 for SNES/SFC controllers and 2 for Genesis/Mega Drive controllers. With appropriate plugins, it can also play other retro systems (including every Nintendo Game Boy game, Sega Master System, Nintendo 64).
