FOUNTAIN PEN IS NEW, UNUSED, NEVER INKED OR DIPPED ORIGINAL MINT PURCHASE CONDITION!!! Continuing the theme of travel by celebrating the luxury train, the Orient Express, S.T. Dupont pays homage to the long distant train service that was created in 1883 and ran for 126 years. Ensuring connections between Paris, Vienna, and Istanbul, this Limited Edition Dupont Orient Express Fountain Pen is a beautiful representation of a timeless classic in blue and white placed lacquering. It is complimented with yellow-gold and mother-of-pearl appointments. The clip contains a gem of blue spinel and has an engraved Medium (“M”) Dupont nib. The Orient Express Fountain Pen is limited to 883 pieces worldwide, this one is number 721. Parisian luxury-goods manufacturer S.T. I purchased this pen personally and have been the only owner of this magnificent pen. It has been stored in one of my many pen tubs since the day after I purchased it, in a smoke free home, in a temperature controlled environment. Note: The outer white cardboard shipping sleeve shows some signs of age and wear, has a couple of tears on its corners and is a little crumbled (see picture #2 & #3). Additionally, the inside of the writing kit is showing some age to its Alcantara lining. Despite Alcantara being called “Alcantara leather”, it is actually a synthetic fabric made from a blend of polyester and polyurethane, and as such will begin to degrade over time. Fortunately, the interior writing kit has held up extremely well with only minor degradation and blemishes. The writing kit is very heavy at 11 pounds and quite large, and therefore, I will charge a flat shipping fee to cover continental U.S. shipping and insurance.
