The silent (that’s right! No more messy 60-cycle hum!) single-coil circuitry allows you to retain 100% of that genuine single coil sound without any of the noise. The V60LP pickups are very much voiced to replicate vintage tones and they do an amazing job of recreating that sound. But the beauty here is that the only noise coming out of your guitar will be music that you are creating. You can isolate any of the pickups without ever worrying about added hiss. Add the supremely functional Suhr locking tuners, fantastic Gotoh 510 2-point tremolo, contoured heel and other contemporary appointments and improvements, this Classic is vintage sound meets modern playability all wrapped up in a classy-as-heck pretty package. Manufacturer’s Description The Suhr Classic marries vintage design with modern improvements resulting in an instrument that is capable of producing iconic tones while retaining the build quality, features and playability you’ve come to expect from Suhr. This Classic S features a quartersawn maple neck and fingerboard that is tinted and finished with Suhr’s satin acrylic urethane, which provides the smooth feel of natural wood as well as protection from moisture. This is the standard vintage shape that many of us grew up with and has the addition of a contoured heel where the neck bolts on for easy access to all the frets. The unique blend of locking tuners, a high performance bridge, V60LP pickups and Suhr’s proprietary SSCII noise reduction system creates the perfect combination of vintage tones with modern performance. The Classic S is equipped with their 60’s Vintage Standard neck profile. Rolled edges and a 9″-12” compound fingerboard radius offers a substantial, yet comfortable shape. Stainless steel frets offer silky smooth bending and long-lasting playability. The contoured heel of the Classic allows for easier access to the upper register. The SSCII is Suhr’s proprietary silent single coil system. The SSCII is installed inside the body of the guitar and works with traditional single coil pickups. It reduces 60 cycle hum and has no impact on tone, no batteries to change – just transparent noise reduction.
