Universal Studios Jurassic Park T-Rex Dinosaur Mug This hard to find Universal Studios Jurassic Park mug features the skeleton of « Sue » the Tyrannosaurus rex dinosaur fossil found in August of 1990. Underneath the skeleton is the « Universal Studios » logo. The T-Rex skeleton wraps around the mug for a very striking contrasting design. The skeleton and Universal Studios logo are a raised textured print. The mug has a glossy black exterior and interior. It is ceramic and holds approximately 12 fluid ounces. Condition: This mug is used in great condition. There are light signs of wear on the textured artwork. Please see photos for the exact condition. OpeningJurassic Park: The Ride opened to the public at Universal Studios Hollywood on June 21, 1996. Among the guests in attendance at the ride’s grand opening celebration were film cast members Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello. Steven Spielberg also attended the opening, but requested that he be let off of the attraction before the 85-foot (26 m) drop. On August 12, 1996, Universal launched an online game, Jurassic Park – The Ride Online Adventure, to promote the ride.
